Jeanne

Jeanne holds a Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP), a Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association, and a is Certified ADHD Professional (ADHD-CCSP).

Jeanne’s journey to becoming a speech-language pathologist began after a successful 16-year career as an award-winning set decorator and art director in the film industry, working in New York City and Los Angeles. During her time in Los Angeles, Jeanne became deeply involved in the animal welfare community, rescuing dogs, educating the public, writing training manuals, and serving as a medical liaison for a thriving rescue group. Her experiences in this field highlighted her humanitarian spirit and her desire to give back, much like a true New Orleanian.

Jeanne Develle is a Learning and Executive Functions Specialist

In 2011, Jeanne began tutoring school-aged children under the guidance of a speech-language pathologist. One day, she noticed a student arriving with homework completed from their previous session. Intrigued by this concept of “executive functioning,” Jeanne delved into seminars, books, and research on the subject. She realized that executive functioning skills had been crucial to her own success. Inspired by this discovery, she began taking prerequisites for graduate school.

Today, Jeanne owns The Cognitive Hub, a center for educating and empowering Parents, Caregivers and Educators so they can help their children effectively develop executive function skills. Utilizing an evidence-based, metacognitive approach grounded in the principle of neuroplasticity, she helps her clients reach their full potential as learners and thinkers. Jeanne’s strategies teach students to “think about thinking,” an essential skill for developing executive functioning skills. Through practice and patience, her students learn that the brain is a powerful machine that can reorganize itself.
