Welcome to The Cognitive Hub
Practical education and coaching for parents, caregivers, and educators helping students build focus, organization, emotional regulation, and follow-through.
Start with a short Executive Skills Assessment Quiz to better understand where your child may need support.
Executive function is the set of mental skills that helps students focus, plan, organize, manage time, regulate emotions, remember instructions, and complete tasks.
When these skills are underdeveloped, students may appear unmotivated, distracted, overwhelmed, emotional, or inconsistent – even when they are capable and trying.
The Cognitive Hub helps parents, caregivers, and educators better understand executive function challenges and learn practical strategies that support confidence, independence, and success in school and everyday life.
Executive function coaching provides one-on-one support for parents, caregivers, and educators who want practical tools to help students succeed. Coaching sessions focus on real-life strategies for organization, focus, planning, task completion, emotional regulation, and school routines.
The Cognitive Hub’s executive function courses helps parents, caregivers, and educators better understand how executive skills affect learning, behavior, confidence, and daily routines.
The courses provide clear education and practical strategies that can be used at home, in school, and in everyday life.
Parents, Caregivers: Learn how executive function affects your child’s learning, behavior, confidence, and daily routines. The course provides practical tools to help you support your child at home without constant frustration or guesswork.
Educators: Gain a deeper understanding of executive function challenges in the classroom and learn strategies that can support student success, independence, organization, and emotional regulation.ional regulation and communication
Students Who Need Support: While the course is built for the adults supporting them, students benefit when parents, caregivers, and educators understand what is getting in the way and how to provide the right support.
Overall, understanding and support of executive function development contribute to a child’s academic achievement, social skills, and overall well-being. By nurturing these skills, Parents, Caregivers and Educators can help prepare their young people for success in school, relationships, and life.
Jeanne Develle holds a Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP), a Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association, and is a Certified ADHD Professional (ADHD-CCSP).
My 13 year old daughter has dyslexia and language processing issues. Jeanne was integral in helping her learn to read when she was in third grade. Once she was able to read we continued to work with Jeanne to focus on helping my daughter to understand the meaning of text and figurative language while reading as well as expressing herself through writing. She challenged my daughter to work hard and didn’t let her off the hook too easy. She is a fantastic SLP, understands executive function deficits and can accomplish more in one session than other tutors. Jeanne is an excellent resource with lots of tools to support students who are struggling with reading and language skills. I highly recommend Jeanne!
Jeanne has been an incredible asset in helping with my daughter’s challenges. Because of her knowledge in the field and being able to really tune in to my daughter, she was able to see executive functioning issues that are now being addressed. She has gone above and beyond for my daughter and in a way that she didn’t have to. She truly cares and it shows. I feel incredibly supported and lucky to have her on our team.
We have been working with Jeanne for a little over 3 years now and she has helped us so much. We started with her to help my son with his auditory processing disorder. This and his ADHD made it hard for him to read and understand instruction at home and in school. Since starting with Jeanne our son has come so far! Not only can he fluently read now, but he has also been able to develop several strategies to help improve his executive functioning. Jeanne has helped educate us on the purpose of executive functioning, how his diagnoses affect this, and ways we can help improve his executive functioning. She has given us tools to use at home to improve task management and to improve productivity with class work. Jeanne has helped us more thoroughly understand how our son’s brain works, and the best ways we can support him. I would recommend anyone needing language and/or executive function support to work with her. She has been nothing short of fantastic!
“Jeanne has been a tremendous asset for our middle schooler. Her in-depth knowledge of grade-level school expectations allows for a personal experience. The organizational and time management skills combined with reading strategies taught by Jeanne have been invaluable. All of this has been done in such a caring and nurturing way. We couldn’t imagine navigating middle school without her!”
“Our daughter was struggling in school, and we were worried that it was due to a learning disability. After working closely with Jeanne, we discovered that it was actually related to executive functioning challenges. The strategies and techniques she taught us have made a huge difference. Our daughter is now more focused, organized, and confident in her abilities. We are so grateful for the support and guidance we received.”
